Quietly located along one of West Fargo’s most active corridors, BLVD has quickly become a local hotspot for food, drink and community. Framed by an agrarian/industrial inspired shell (evocative of the region), the interior raw steel structure tapers up to a two-story space highlighting a clever installation of dangling bikes used as a chandelier above the custom fabricated bar rack. Below the bottle rack lies a tap tower which reflects the building theme by use of decommissioned fire hydrants sourced locally and provides a reinforcement of the brand. The use of gabion walls and bare concrete floors adjacent to the “warm and durable” reclaimed wood offers a “blue jean” aesthetic reflective of the area patrons. Built by local artisans, using local materials and resources, and telling a local story, BLVD is a celebration of the ‘pieces and parts’ that create community and celebrate the local culture.
